Thanking EVERYONE involved in your continued support of HOPE.
We were nominated for the Lincolnshire County Council Good Citizen Awards 2009. HOPE won the Community Group of the Year, not quite Miss World but a huge achievement we were invited to County Council offices for the presentation and reception
David Hinchley (Son of John & Marge at Balderton Group) donated a Beautiful Hamper with £50 of Food and Goodies for a Raffle at Christmas. Members decided to have a separate Raffle from the usual weekly raffle to be drawn at the Christmas Lunch. Winner 2009 was Enid Locke from Balderton group. The raffle raised £217, well done all members.Thank you to Stewart Kerrison for managing the weekly ticket sales. The Hinchley Hamper will become part of our annual Christmas event.
Our Annual Commemorative Event is once again planned for the last Wednesday in March, this was set-up to remember all our members who are no longer with us and in true HOPE style we do this from a positive perspective by holding a Tea Dance in celebration, in 2009 we planted a tree in memory, we will enjoy watching it grow and develop for years to come. All are very welcome to join our very alternative ‘Strictly’ HOPE..ful Tea dance.
